Not all Babies make it home…..

0 Unused Wedding Dresses
A local ABC TV station in the Dallas-Ft Worth market interviewed a number of birthing center nurses about what babies are wrapped in when their trip from the hospital is to burial. The answers may surprise some. I know I was.
Their answers varied from “old” wash cloths to unused towels. Buried in an unused wash cloth! That seems pretty cold. It really pulled at some heart strings.
The TV reporters story continues:
One lady had been addressing the issue by using a donated wedding dress (one dress made about 5 general purpose Angel gowns). After watching the TV piece I called the station to see what the response had been with ladies donating their wedding gowns. The short answer is they have been overwhelmed.

I don’t know if this type of effort goes on in other communities, but this “angel gown campaign” asked for no money, only uses unused wedding gowns hanging in a closet somewhere.
From my chair the American Spirit is alive and well when people give back
