On this Memorial Day weekend we wanted to wish you:
- An enjoyable weekend with friends and family
- A safe weekend, especially if you are traveling
- A scrumptious barbeque on Monday (isn’t that the American pastime?)
- Welcome to in the informal beginning of summer
- And we hope that you think of the sacrifices our troops have, and are, making in keeping our country safe, free of tyranny while safeguarding our liberties while you stimulate the economy (after all, we’ve traded holiday parades for parading to the mall!)

Thanks for the Memorial Day comments. As a 3-tour Vietnam Vet (USAF), I’m always happy to see folks pay attention to Memorial Day and what it really means. Wish more people thought like you.

We had a good turn out for a Memorial Day Parade here in the Metroplex. And for the schools that had to make up a school day, the teachers taught a one day course about what Memorial Day is all about.
Way to go G.P. School District.
It is about honor and respect and all to often it is not remembered.
