Account Manager – Automation Technologies

0 Our client is looking for an energetic and focused Automation Account Manager in the Des Moines, IA and Denver CO area to expand their business in industries and market segments where they have high potential. We are specifically interested in people who have sold at an Enterprise level to Fortune 1000 OEM and End Users and have a proven history of consistent sales successes.
Key duties and responsibilities:
- Identifying, from marketing information and knowledge of the area, potential accounts that match clients target market.
- Executing high velocity sales with OEM and End User customer accounts using applications that have been identified to have competitive advantage in target markets.
- Successfully building relationships with customers and distributor partners to achieve lasting relationships, assigned sales, and corporate goals for the company.Maintain a high degree of technical knowledge relevant to that required to fulfill the job responsibilities
Desired Skills and Experience
- Bachelor of Science, Electrical or Mechanical, in Engineering from a four year college or related technical school.
- Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of demonstrated application solutions sales experience with OEM and End User customers.
- Sales experience with some or all of the following products: Machine vision systems, Motion, Servo Drives, and Motors, PLC/HMI hardware, software and interfaces, and Auto ID – barcode and RFID
- Energetic, aggressive and focused.
- Highly motivated self starter and financially driven.
- Strong relationship builder and a strong personal desire to win.
- Ability to multi-task and work cross-functionally.
- Good organization skills.
- Team player mentality but able to work independently as required.
- Strong interpersonal, listening, questioning, and communication skills.
- Approximately 30% travel.
