0 The Director of Product Management- Protective relays and Custom Electrical will lead Product Management efforts of the Protection Relays business – They will have total ownership and manage the product lifecycle from strategic planning to tactical activities. This highly visible role is critical to this product segment for the company. Some of the roles that the successful candidate will have include:
Job description:
- Provide 5-year product-line strategic plan and measure execution
- Deliver a 5 year product-line plan to revenue target / market share including product needs, cost targets to support pricing and margin needs.
- Oversee creation of detailed product roadmaps for each product category and product line – (Define end-of-life, obsolescence plans, enhancements, additions, cost-reductions, etc)
- Oversee development of a rolling 1-year tactical plan for new products and measure execution
- Develop a 1 year sales plan by region with sales department
- Develop new business opportunities for private-label and acquisitions
- Manage New Product Development Funnel
- Maintain and increase sales of relays, controls, and grounding systems and associated product lines
- Set and monitor target revenues, unit and margin goals for the year for each product line
Desired Skills and Experience:
The Director of Product management- Protective relays and Custom Electrical should have the following experience:
- 10+ years experience in the industrial segment of the electrical industry in a sales manager or product manager role
- Managerial experience required
- Demonstrated track record of driving product line growth
- International experience required
- Able to handle multiple tasks efficiently
- Effective presentation skills
- Good communication skills both written and oral
- Results oriented
- Good problem solving skills
- Team Player
- Good “people” skills… Good listener and can adapt to the customer audience
* Engineering degree preferred. Management experience of managing a small team ideal
