North Central Regional Sales Manager – Shat-R-Shield – FILLED
Shat-R-Shield, the market leader in safety coated lamps and LED lighting, is hiring a North Central Regional Sales Manager. The role covers ND, SD, NE, KS, MO, IA, MN, WI, and IL.
The primary purpose of this position is to manage all sales activity for Shat-R-Shield through management of sales, distribution and end-user activities. This includes managing the day to day tasks of manufacturer representatives and execution of pricing strategy including competitive bids, quotations and SPA’s.
Responsibilities:
- Consistently attain sales quotas through sales of Shat-R-Shield products to prospects and existing customers.
- Strengthen relationships and grow business with distribution, end-users, OEM’s, contractors and specification engineers.
- Identify, prioritize and close new business opportunities in the market and promote existing and new products.
- Develop, formalize and implement a sales strategy including an annual business plan for the territory; Monitor and direct manufacturer sales representatives to deliver annual sales objectives.
- Provide leadership, direction and supervision to Manufacturer Sales Representatives; this includes procuring and monitoring their annual strategic plans including, but not limited to, prospecting, setting objectives, training, co-op program execution and developing existing customers.
- Introduce and implement sales and marketing strategies to enhance overall growth.
- Analyze marketing / buying group information and drive execution of buying group initiatives.
- Review financial reports to monitor and address manufacturer representatives and distributor sales objectives.
- Monitor competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, merchandising techniques, etc.
- Provide competitive information to Marketing, and make recommendations for new products based upon voice of the customer.
- Participate in Product Development initiatives, such as brainstorming, and provide market intelligence to help the company establish product road maps.
Requirements: Must have a minimum of 5 years previous sales experience in the electrical, food or similar industry, including at least 3 years management experience. Must also currently reside within the North Central Region (ND, SD, NE, KS, MO, IA, MN, WI, IL), and be open to a minimum of 60% travel.
