Stan Rydzynski, 1947-2019
It is with heavy heart for me to share that Stan Rydzynski, an associate partner at Channel Marketing Group, passed away the morning of Saturday, May 4th.
Stan joined Channel Marketing Group ten years ago after a thirty-eight year career with Leviton.
I met Stan in one of my first supplier meetings after becoming VP Marketing of for TIED (now IMARK) in the fall of 1995. Stan was Director of Channel Marketing for Leviton at the time.
Stan was the consummate professional. He graduated from Queens College, City University of New York, with degrees in mathematics, business and marketing. He spent his career in product development, segment marketing, contractor marketing and distribution channel management, all with a focus on supporting the channel. His definition of marketing was “Everything a company does to sell its goods or services at a profit.”
Upon retiring from Leviton, after six months of “honey-dos”, he joined Channel Marketing Group with a desire to “give back” and assisted me in strategizing and supporting manufacturers, distributors and reps. He enjoyed reconnecting, learning and sharing what he learned.
Stan was always willing to share ideas and offer a helping hand. He offered his expertise freely, provided guidance, support and insights generated from years of channel participation and observation. Having worked for a company that invested much in marketing and the channel, Stan supported many distributors and salespeople throughout his career.
Ironically, we had just finished developing a strategy for a client and he called me on Wednesday evening, knowing I had a 7:00am flight the next day and was heading to the NAED National, to wish me well and expressed he was looking forward to working on the next phase of the client’s project, which was strategy implementation to support the client. A true friend.
Stan leaves behind his loving wife Terry and three adult children. He would have been 72 years old in July.
His sage advice and friendship will be truly missed.
If you would like to send condolences to Terry, feel free to email me for her address.
