Q2 Pulse of Lighting Survey Now Open
The lighting market continues to be an adventure, complete with lots of opportunities. Our Q2 Pulse of Lighting Survey will help capture these and we’ll share the results at the end of the month.
During the second quarter we’ve had:
- The roller coaster of tariffs … “planned” and discussed at the beginning of the quarter to implemented in the middle / end of the quarter. And with manufacturer implementation of the increases starting from May 15th through till July 1 … and with some having no need to implement an increase which says something about where they manufacturer / source, margins (ability to absorb) or negotiating ability.
- LightFair where many launched new products, controls took center stage and many networked
- Continued new product launches
- Increased focus on vertical marketing initiatives
And the business, especially on the construction-side, appears to continue to “motor” along.
To gain a better pulse of the market, and to share valuable information with you, we are again conducting our quarterly Pulse of Lighting survey.
Respondents receive a free copy of the report.
This month, questions relate to:
- Q2 sales performance
- Tariff activity and the % of sales they will impact today and tomorrow
- Activity drivers
And some specific questions in there for:
- Distributors relating to activity such as backlog activity and Q3 outlook
- Manufacturers relating to percent of sales impacted by tariffs (breadth of product line)
- Reps relating to commissions and sales “benefit” to agency
All input is confidential. We need your input by June 21st. It should only take you 1-4 minutes, depending upon if you’re a distributor, manufacturer or rep / lighting agent. Free copies will be available at the end of the month and this is another way you can benchmark your performance as well as understand what others are seeing in the broader market.
Thank you for you sharing and we hope the information is beneficial. Feel free to reach out with other lighting insights.
