Konnerth Retires From Egret Consulting
Ted Konnerth, an industry stalwart for many a year, has decided to retire from recruiting to focus full-time in supporting distributors and manufacturers in the areas of mergers and acquisitions.
According to Egret Consulting, the electrical and lighting industry recruitment firm he founded after leaving Cooper Lighting over 20 years ago …
“Egret Consulting Group announces that Ted Konnerth is retiring from executive search. Ted will continue to support our clients with M&A (mergers and acquisitions) consulting for the next several years; in association with Merrimack Group.
Ted founded Egret in 1999 and grew the firm to the largest executive search firm dedicated solely to the electrical industry with verticals in lighting, electrical distribution, renewable energy, building automation, and wire & cable.
Ted sold Egret to Brooke Ziolo in 2019. Brooke said “It’s been such an honor working for Ted over the past 13 years. He taught me everything I know about the Lighting industry and recruiting. He built an amazing recruiting family at Egret of which I couldn’t be more proud. He will be greatly missed. We wish him the best in his transition into M&A consulting!”
I met Ted in the late ’90’s when he was VP Sales for Cooper Lighting and I was at IMARK Group. His knowledge of the lighting market is unsurpassed. A quality person who was always willing to share as well as give back to the industry.
Good luck in the new career Ted and I know you made many happy by placing them in a quality role (and helping a few companies along the way.)
