Kinsella Leaves AD
Earlier this afternoon we learned that Dave Kinsella, president of AD’s Electrical Division in the US is leaving the organization.
According to an email sent from Marisol Fernandez, President, Electrical & Industrial Business Unit to members and suppliers at 3:00pm,
“Good afternoon AD Electrical US Division Supplier Delegates and CEO/Top Executives,
It is with mixed emotions that I’m announcing that Dave Kinsella has made the decision to leave AD to pursue an opportunity as a Chief Commercial Officer with a manufacturer in the AD community.
As many of you are aware, I recently re-joined AD in a leadership capacity and have responsibility for this incredible team. In my previous role at AD, I had the pleasure of working with Dave and know that he is an industry champion and committed to our members’ success.
While he will certainly be missed, we understand his decision and want to take this opportunity to wish him the best and thank him for his contributions to our team throughout his 14 years of service.
Leadership changes are common throughout our industry and in most organizations. However, it’s important to recognize that Dave’s announcement follows a few recent organizational changes in our Electrical US Division. Therefore, we want to discuss his departure head on and proactively share the news with our members and supplier community.
As you may expect, we’ve already initiated the search for a leader that will help us achieve our growth objectives and will partner with the Governance Committee of our Electrical US Divisional Board throughout the process.
The Division is the foundation of AD’s original model, embodies a rich history of success, and remains one of our most strategic segments. Our Electrical US members have continued to deliver record growth since the Division’s inception and now, more than ever, the AD Team is well positioned for the future. We have tremendous opportunities ahead and plan to continue to make investments in people and areas of our business that will accelerate growth in the channel. As we look to the future of our business, our Electrical US Division is in great shape.
In the interim, Steven Guidry and I will work across all AD Divisions to manage the transition. We’re fortunate to have many talented associates throughout the AD organization and valued partners like yourselves to rely on throughout the process. Over the next several weeks, Steven Guidry and I will be your main points of contact.
Please don’t hesitate to reach out to either of us with questions: mfernandez@adhq.com or sguidry@adhq.com.
Thank you for your time and commitment to AD.
Marisol
Marisol Fernandez
President, Electrical & Industrial Business Unit”
Dave is an industry veteran who I’ve had the pleasure of knowing and working with. He started on the distribution side and I worked with him when he was the marketing manager for MB Hall in St Louis, which was an IMARK member when I was VP Marketing at IMARK many moons ago. He then went to work for Intermatic for seven years and has spent the last 14 years at AD as VP Member Relations then VP Supplier Relations and then, for the past few years, President of the US Electrical group.
Dave is well-liked by members and manufacturers alike and was very approachable to all.
Congratulations to Dave on the new role and to the company where he is going (presumably we’ll all find out shortly).
And in the interim, AD is now looking for a new President of their US Electrical group. Presumably resumes should be sent to Bill, the ESD board members or Marisol.
