Product Marketing Specialist / Coordinator Role in Cleveland
Chalfant Manufacturing Company has been in business for over 75 years designing and manufacturing quality cable management solutions for electrical wiring. We are a subsidiary of OBO-Bettermann (www.obo.global), a company with over 4000 employees in over 60 countries.
Chalfant markets to engineers, contractors, and distributors. The Product Marketing Coordinator / Specialist will convert our strategy into tactics to drive brand awareness and product specification while supporting the sales organization.
Key areas for this role include:
- Management of website and product catalog
- Product Training
- New Product Launch
- eMarketing
- Maintenance of our Product Data Management
This role complements our Marketing Communications Specialist and, collectively, the team will development print collateral, manage our website, implement digital marketing, coordinate training and video and provide additional sales support. You should be well-versed in specialized marketing concepts, principles, and tactics. The goal is to deliver effective marketing programs that drive sales and build our brand.
Other Areas of Involvement Include
- Design and/or copy writing skills to support implementation of brand execution, product promotion and sales support initiatives
- Assist in outbound or inbound marketing activities by demonstrating expertise in various areas (content development and optimization, advertising, events planning etc.)
- Brainstorm and develop ideas for creative marketing campaigns
- Manage samples for sales organization requests
- Support market research to find answers about customer requirements, habits, and trends
- Collaborate with marketing and other professionals to coordinate brand awareness and marketing efforts
- Plan and execute initiatives to reach the target audience through appropriate channels (social media, e-mail, TV etc.)
- Assist in analyzing marketing data (campaign results, conversion rates, traffic etc.) to help shape future marketing strategies
- Liaise with external vendors to execute promotional events and campaigns
- Undertake individual tasks of a marketing plan as assigned
- This position currently reports to the President
Role can offer periodic remote flexibility but requires 3 days in office.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, or related discipline required
- Minimum of 2 years marketing experience.
- B2B marketing experience
- Desire to understand product, application and end-user markets.
- Commercial awareness partnered with a creative mind.
- Comfortable with adapting and adjusting to multiple needs, shifting priorities, and rapid change.
- Understanding of marketing elements (including traditional and digital marketing such as SEO/Social media etc.) and market research methods.
- Solid computer skills, including MS Office applications. (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator (or similar & CRM) and applications such as Google analytics, Google AdWords etc.
- Good project management skills.
