Top 10 of 2022 and 2022 Acquisitions
As 2022 comes to a close, it’s appropriate to look at an electrical industry “year in review” as shared on ElectricalTrends.
This year we had almost 110,000 page views and, through various authors, posted over 175 articles. Our goal is twice a week and sometimes, due to industry activity and suppliers sharing new products or new personnel, we have multiple postings.
The Top 10 postings in 2022 were:
- Amazon Makes Acquisition, Good for Electric Distributors
- Copper’s New Competitor, and its Impact
- And Then There Were 24 (Rockwell Distributors)
- Acquisitions Accelerate Since July
- Learning from the Lighting Model of Sales to End-users
- Bye Bye Rebate Dollars
- Rexel Changes. What Could they Mean?
- Sonepar Doubling Down for Acquisitions
- March closes with 7 acquisitions
- The Hidden Secret to Rep and Distributor Sales
Aside from these stories, key issues throughout the year included acquisitions, supply chain issues, price increases, labor shortages, “work from home”, digital transformation (from analytics to eCommerce, from product data, CRM, rebate automation and more) and more that we shared.
Speaking of acquisitions, here’s a list of acquisitions we reported on this year. To learn what we said, use the Search box and search by company.
There were other manufacturer acquisitions, but none seemed to generate the interest as the rash of distributor deals did.
As we close out the year, I’d like to thank you, our loyal readers, for your time and readership of ElectricalTrends. Your time in reading our observations, for sharing input to our articles and for occasionally sharing ideas for topics.
Further, I’d like to thank
- Fellow contributors Gene Biben, Linda Longo, and Ken Cain for their frequent contributors.
- Our advertisers, ETIM North America, Distributor Data Solutions, Interlynx Systems, Sales Management Plus and Trimble for their support.
- Our 35+ Channel Marketing Group clients for their support as well as our US Lighting Trends annual advertisers (Casambi, Cree Lighting, MaxLite, Halco Lighting, Light Efficient Design, National Specialty Lighting, Verozza Lighting). Without you, none of this is possible.
- And if you’d like to learn more about either Channel Marketing Group or US Lighting Trends, give me a call!
And most importantly, my family for their support.
May you have a wonderful New Year’s weekend and best wishes for a happy and healthy 2023.
