New NFC Drivers from Espen
Espen Technology, a leading manufacturer of indoor, LED lighting solutions and EV chargers, announced the launch of a new line of Near-Field Communication (NFC) Programmable Drivers.
NFC interface technology allows a user to program the driver wirelessly, using a PC or mobile device (Android or iOS), in close proximity to the driver, prior to installation.
Some of the programmable functions include:
- 0-10V dimming, adjustable minimum dimming level down to 1%
- Auxiliary power: 12V / 200mA MAX
- Enable / disable soft start function
- Enable / disable dim-to-off function
- Enable / disable 0-10V dimming function
The new constant current, NFC programmable drivers come in 40W, 60W, 80W, and 96W models. They are 120-277VAC input voltage, packaged in a linear form factor metal case. They provide 0-10V isolated dimming, are suitable for indoor use, and are flicker free, with excellent camera compatibility. Other premium specifications include: Class 2, Class P, Operating Temp of -25°C to +50°C, meets IEEE1789 and UL8750.
“Near Field Communication allows a PC or mobile device to field-program the drivers, easily and wirelessly,” said Flemming Jensen, SVP of Sales & Marketing at Espen Technology. Jensen added, “OEM’s, contractors, and distributors can use their mobile devices for programming, without wiring nor tools, while simultaneously reducing inventory SKUs. These drivers can be programmed in the field, without requiring a laptop nor power source.”
