2024 Q2 Pulse of Lighting Survey Now Open, Free Report Available
Our Q2 Pulse of Lighting survey is now open. Share less than 2 minutes of your time, some marketplace insights and we’ll share an industry report you can use to benchmark your performance.
This survey, now in its 6th year, is open to all distributors, lighting agents, manufacturer reps who sell a lighting line and lighting manufacturers in the US.
If you visit the survey, you’ll also receive an opportunity to receive a free copy of our Q1 Pulse of Lighting Report, a $35 value (yes, we charge non-respondents for the survey!) Or click here to read an overview of the Q1 2024 Pulse of Lighting results.
Here’s the thing … from talking with distributors, for many Q1 was a challenge. Be it weather, the economy, interest rates, backlog caused by switchgear delays, project delays (and some due to a lack of labor), a dearth of larger projects or some other reason, Q1 was “tough” for many. Reportedly it was a little better in the Southeast and the Southwest, especially Texas, continues to grow (except their winter weather didn’t help.)
In listening to distributors and manufacturers at the NAED National, Q2 appears, at least overall, to be getting better. Word was that lighting still lagged the overall market with specification lines and conglomerates suffering the most and value-engineered oriented lines suffering less with some reporting positive results.
Our Q2 Pulse of Lighting survey seeks to gain some perspective on the market. Are we “less down”? Are we positive and starting to track the latest DISC report which forecasts the year meeting historical industry norms in spite of inflation and general economic concerns? (And if you haven’t seen the DISC report, you should contact Chris Sokoll to learn more.)
All I need is a minute or two of your time. Share some insights, help the industry, help us, and you can receive some information to gauge your performance (and I promise we’re not asking for any company confidential information.)
Can you, will you, help? I need your input by Friday, June 21.
So, what are you seeing in the market? Comments on any manufacturer’s performance? Any improved activity in the controls market?
