Biben Builds Team
Biben Sales, a leading manufacturer representative in the Mid-Atlantic region, serving Pennsylvania, Maryland, Delaware, southern New Jersey, DC and northern Virgina, announced the recent hiring of Jenn Mercer to strengthen its “southern” team.
According to an announcement by Bill Solomon, president of Biben Sales,
“Jennifer (Jenn) Mercer joined the Biben Sales team January 20. She comes on as Manager of our Biben Marketing Group,  overseeing our customers and sales team out of Maryland, DC, and Northern Virginia.
Jenn joins us after holding management positions at KW Efficiency as well as managing the East Coast from New England to Georgia at Facilities Solution Group. She comes with 20+ years of industry experience and most of that holding management positions. This move helps create a sustainable structure as the Biben Sales team continues to grow, now 26 people strong. We’re very happy to have her with her expertise on board to support the geography and our manufacturers.”
It’s interesting to see on Biben’s site its core values, which is a “throwback” to a different time with relationship focused values – Be Nice, Grow Yourself and Others, Take Initiative, Serve Others Well, Be a Good Teammate, and Be Loyal. And if you look at these values on their website, each of these has specific expectations.
Perhaps this is “the Biben value proposition” to suppliers as it governs their relationship with customers (distributors and end-users), enabling the company to thrive for over 66 years (and according to their History page, the values haven’t changed since day 1, a tribute to Joseph E. Biben, its founder.
