Inline Grows Again. Another Acquisition.
Inline Electric Supply, a leading IMARK Electrical distributor, and the largest independent electrical distributor in Alabama, recently acquired TVW Electrical Supplies.
According to a press release from Inline,
“Inline Electric Supply Company is excited to announce the acquisition of TVW Electrical Supplies as of September 30, 2023. Over the last 12 years, Kent Lawrence and his team have become the go-to electrical supply business in Decatur. As part of Inline Electric Supply Co., their capabilities to service the Decatur area customers will be significantly expanded in numerous areas.
Inline Electric Supply began operating in Huntsville in 1988 and has now grown to 21 locations across Alabama, Tennessee and Georgia.
Both companies share similar visions of doing everything possible to service customers every day and with TVW Electrical Supplies employees now becoming employee-owners, they will be
even more equipped to provide that service.
“Inline started as a small business in Huntsville with a handful of employees, so adding a branch that holds the same values and beliefs that we already strive to maintain is a natural fit,” shared
Bruce Summerville, president of Inline Electric. “We’re excited to have Kent and his team on board and look forward to great success in Decatur.”
TVW marks the second acquisition for Inline Electric Supply in 2023*. Inline also opened a 109,000+ square foot distribution center in Tanner, AL, located directly on the 65 corridor between Birmingham and Nashville to better serve our customers throughout all our locations.
Inline is 100% employee owned and one of Inc.’s 5000 fastest growing private companies in America in 2023.”
At the end of last year, Inline Electric Supply was ranked #46 on The Electrical Wholesaling Top 150 with a reported $295 million in revenue and 350 employees. With the acquisitions and growth the company exceeds $300 million.
Congratulations to Bruce Summerville and the Inline team on its growth. The TVW deal is the industry’s 24th acquisition of the year.
Last year Inline acquired Williams Supply as well as The Lighting Gallery.
* In the press release Inline mentioned a prior acquisition in 2023. When asked, it was learned that Inline acquired Lowe’sLighting Gallery in Cleveland, Tennessee, earlier in the year. While Lowe’s Lighting Gallery was a residential lighting showroom, Inline has since expanded and added an electrical contractor counter to this location.
While we don’t have the date of the acquisition, we’ll count it as the 25th electrical industry acquisition of 2023.
