You’ve heard the phrase “speed kills.” From a business perspective, speed can kill your competition. It can help you win the order by being their first. You either take the order off the market because your customer needs to get the work done so they give you the go ahead to that they can get their material, they want to get the process off their plate, or, worst case, you have the first number in and, if it is competitive, earn the right (hopefully) for a follow-up if it is necessary.

It helps satisfy the customer. It improves your / your team’s productivity, hence increasing your capacity, and it creates a happier workforce because it is easier.
