Election Aftermath … What Does It Mean for the Electrical Industry?
Almost a week has passed since the election and either you’re done celebrating or commiserating. We now know that the chessboard of federal politics hasn’t change but we can all hope that somehow the next four years are more productive than the past four and that Congress and the President can learn to discuss and compromise vs. stonewall and delay. Paralysis, which leads to uncertainty for business leaders, is conducive to effective business management (and development).
But with President Obama re-elected, we thought we’d ask your opinion of what this means for you / your company and the electrical industry. Some questions:
- Does the election change your 2013 outlook for the industry? For your business?
- Does it create, or reduce, any opportunities?
- How will the new administration impact
- green / energy efficiency?
- renewable technologies?
- safety regulations?
- the coal industry?
- the petrochem / natural gas industry?
- residential housing market?
- the utility industry (and investments in the electrical infrastructure (smartgrid)
- Taxes for your business
- Employment decisions for your company
- Willingness to invest?
- What does it mean for healthcare costs in your business?
