Atkore Seeks Marketing Director – FILLED
Atkore is seeking a Marketing Director, to be located at their Harvey, IL location, approximately 20 miles south of downtown Chicago.
Atkore is a leading manufacturer of Electrical Products, primarily for the non-residential construction and renovation markets, and Mechanical Products & Solutions for the construction and industrial markets. The business is comprised of two reporting segments, Electrical Raceway and Mechanical Products & Solutions, with annual revenue of about $2 billion.
The company has 66 manufacturing and distribution centers in the US, Canada, the United Kingdom, China, Australia, and New Zealand with over 4,000 employees.
Responsibilities
- Reporting to the VP, Business Development & Strategy, the Marketing Director is responsible for the overall marketing strategy of Atkore.
- Develops, manages, and executes the overall marketing strategy and budget for Atkore’s central marketing function.
- Champions building a market led customer centric culture within the organization.
- Leads digital marketing capabilities including the website, SEO, product data management, video, audio, graphic design, social media and product data syndication to channel and industry organizations.
- Leads marketing communications, developing and delivering content with the businesses including sales collateral, customer sales, technical and training material, trade shows, point of purchase materials, digital content, promotions, cooperative channel marketing.
- Leads Customer Relationship Management processes in cooperation with sales leadership including customer contact lists, sales and opportunity funnel, proposal processes and development of pricing configuration tools.
- Develops, maintains and delivers corporate branding standards for internal and external use, ensuring that the corporate branding requirements are available and correctly applied by employees, vendors and agents.
- Conducts market research studies and competitive analysis.
- Identifies methods and opportunities to increase overall revenue of served markets.
- Partners with business units to Identify adjacent vertical market opportunities for penetration through core product modification or new product development.
- Identifies and leads action plans to integrate
- Establishes and maintains best practices to be utilized by corporate and business marketing teams for pricing, product management, marketing communications, acquisition integration, customer proposals and other marketing requirements to ensure a world class marketing capability.
Education / Experience
- Proven leader with 10+ years work experience in marketing, business development, and sales.
- At least 5 years’ experience leading and managing a team
- Engineering or Marketing undergraduate degree a plus, MBA preferred.
- Direct experience working in non-residential project construction with a product manufacturer, channel partner and/or service provider, electrical related preferred.
- Financial budget management experience.
Knowledge / Abilities
- Salesforce.com or similar CRM system for management of customer data , selling processes and configure/price/quote tools.
- Website development, management and maintenance.
- Customer journey mapping, voice of customer processes
- Development and application of branding standards.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), ability to work across multiple businesses and functional areas.
- Ability to successfully interface with leadership, engineering, sales, manufacturing, vendors, partners, customers and agents.
- Ability to envision, develop, and execute high level strategic plans
