Esce to Lead Capital Electric
Congratulations to Andrew (Drew) Esce, formerly of City Electric in Syracuse on becoming president of Capital Electric, a Sonepar operating company.
According to a Sonepar press release:
“Sonepar USA, a subsidiary of the privately held Sonepar Group, announced today that Drew Esce has been named president of Capital Electric.
Esce joined Sonepar USA as a part of the City Electric acquisition in 2018. He has served as the Vice President for New York and Eastern Pennsylvania for the last two years. Esce joined City Electric in 2006, holding a variety of positions until 2015 when he took on the role of president. He serves on multiple committees and councils for both NAED and AD and was a tED magazine “30 Under 35” recipient in 2012.
According to Alan Rosenfeld, Sonepar USA East Region President, “Drew’s experience at City Electric and as a part of Sonepar USA make him well-suited to lead Capital’s continued growth. We’re excited to welcome Drew to the Capital Electric team.”
Sonepar acquired City Electric, a twelve branch distributorship in April 2018. With Drew’s appointment it’s evident that Sonepar got much more in this acquisition than perhaps they expected. They expanded into upstate New York, added revenue and were able to acquire a future president for an OpCo (perhaps it’s like in sports when a team acquires a free agent?!)
And congratulations to Sandy Rosecrans for identifying Drew’s potential and grooming him for leadership of City and beyond.
Capital has over 70 locations ranging from Pennsylvania to Georgia as well as runs multiple distribution centers. A much bigger challenge that Drew is up to the task for.
Congratulations Drew.
