CED Helps Make Maui Strong
CED, one of the industry’s largest electrical distributors and probably Hawaii’s largest distributor with 5 locations in the state, two of which are in Maui, is giving back.
According to a note from CED:
“On August 8, 2023, a devastating wildfire took more than 100 lives and destroyed much of the tourist and economic hub of Lahaina.
CED has supported the Hawaiian Islands with electrical supplies and services since 1970. To support our Island communities, customers, and employees, we contributed $500,000 to the Maui Strong Fund – Hawai’i Community Foundation.
On August 30th three of CED’s Hawaii PC (Profit Center) Managers – Chris Kamakeeaina, James Ottomeyer, and Ben McCormick – were able to present the donation to Todd Apo, Mary Leong Saunders, and Wally Chin of the HCF. We will continue to support the rebuild of this amazing community.”
CED and Greentech, CED’s “sister company, which is a distributor in the renewable energy, are known to be very local-market oriented and this reinforces their commitment to the Hawaiian marketplace and, more importantly, to Maui.
