LightFair, LEDs and Energy Smart Marketers
LED’s here, LEDs there, LEDs were everywhere.
At least that is what people who attended LightFair have been telling us. Lots of new products, lots of new companies and lots of questions.
The questions about LEDs revolve around quality, consistency, understanding the role of distribution, product availability and cost-competitiveness.
In the words of Jim Lucy in last week’s Electrical Marketing, “LEDs are here to stay and they are totally revolutionizing the lighting business.” (for the full article, email Jim).
Recently Channel Marketing Group surveyed distributors regarding the support that they need from LED suppliers and what contractors want from distributors to support their LED needs. A research report will be forthcoming, but in the interim, Channel Marketing Group has teamed with BtB Marketing, a marketing communications firm that has experience in solid-state technologies, LEDs and other electronic components as well as wholesale experience, to form Energy Smart Marketers.
The mission of Energy Smart Marketers is to help LED manufacturers review, evaluate, optimize, equip and energize their distribution networks. Channel Marketing Group’s experience in evaluating and developing distribution strategies, coupled with BtB Marketing’s collateral support, can provide LED companies with a “one-stop shop” for understanding and marketing to the channel, thereby accelerating revenues.
