Your 2009 Insights
Tomorrow starts the third leg of each fall’s annual planning process – the NAED Eastern Region Conference, which is being held in Marco Island, FL (and hopefully the golf courses won’t all be full!)
With most people asking “what are you forecasting for next year?”, perhaps the more important question is “what are your strategies for next year?” In other words, isn’t it more important to set your own path or do you prefer to let markets dictate to you. While many distributors, and most manufacturers, depend upon the movement of market share to determine their fortunes, there are a number of leading distributors who set their direction to pursue diversity initiatives, identify opportunities to create business (i.e. energy efficiency) or proactively manage their operations to improve productivity, increase throughput and streamline operations.
To provide some insight, Channel Marketing Group and Allen Ray Associates are once again seeking distributor, manufacturer and rep/manufacturer salesperson input through our 2009 ElectroIndustry Survey. The survey, which takes 5-10 minutes to complete and is confidential, captures important information that can help you benchmark your strategies. Last year we had over 400 responses.
We’ll share the responses via ElectricalTrends in the coming months, hopefully helping you to reach your 2009 goals.
So give us your input (and we’ll hopefully have some insights we can share from the NAED Eastern later this week). If you’d like to verbalize your input, email us and we’ll set up a time to talk.
