Lonestar Supply Joins IMARK
Lonestar Electric Supply, a Texas-based five location distributor, is IMARK’s newest member, effective January 1st.
Profiled a few years ago in Electrical Wholesaling magazine and ranked as the 33rd largest distributor in the country based upon 2020 sales of $281 million, the company has had tremendous growth in a short seven years.
The company operates locations in Houston, Dallas, Fort Worth, Austin and San Antonio, Texas
And while 2021 sales were projected at $360 million, 2021 has powered the company to sales in excess of $400 million.
The company has a mantra of “Make It Happen” and, based upon its growth trajectory, the company makes it happen for its customers.
Founded in 2015, the company was started by industry veterans as an outgrowth of a sale. Being experienced enabled them to pursue manufacturer relationships and attract contractor customers. Over the years the company has focused on services to support a targeted group of customers.
The growth, however, has been generated without the revenue assistance of a name-brand distribution equipment company and, prior to recent changes in the Texas marketplace, without the additional financial and networking benefits of participating in a marketing group … even though the company has had extraordinary growth.
According to Jeff Metzler, CEO of Lonestar, “Joining IMARK allows us to be part of something bigger than ourselves and to be able to network with other independent distributors who are dealing with the same issues we are. We hope this will help us MAKE IT HAPPEN in the future for our customers, vendor partners and our team.”
Congratulations to IMARK in recruiting the industry’s fastest organically growing mid-large size distributor.
Fun Fact
Why is Texas called “the Lone Star State?’
“Texas’s nickname pays tribute to the Lone Star flag, which was adopted after Texas became independent from Mexico in 1836. Texas was an independent republic for ten years before accepting annexation to the United States, and the flag reflects the pride and go-it-alone spirit that is still part of the Texas way of life.”
