NAED Invites Industry Marketing Staffs to Charlotte
Marketing, as a function for manufacturers and distributors, has grown significantly in the electrical industry. It is no longer only events and premiums for distributors or new product launches and catalogs / collateral for manufacturers. It now is responsible for demand generation, brand awareness, thought leadership, research, analytics and much more.
Leading companies, and companies that want to grow, defined as:
- Increased share within their distributors
- Increased share within their customers
- Attract new customers
- Build, or reinforce, their brand
- Penetrate new verticals
- Promote, and sell, their services
- and more
are investing in marketing … both people and tools. If a company is serious about growth, no longer can marketing be the first casualty to cost-cutting when performance slows (and research has shown that companies that do this recover much slower and at a lower rate.)
The NAED Marketing Summit is a venue for industry marketers to gather, network, and expand their skill set.
While the conference is next month, it is not too late to register to participate … and the good thing about the timing is that it coordinates with the planning / budgeting process for many companies (what better time to get ideas.)
Already over 200 people have registered.
Here’s info from NAED:
Over 200 of your peers have registered for NAED’s Marketing Summit, why haven’t you?

And a few notes / opportunities
- If you are a service provider interested in talking to electrical distribution marketers, NAED has an opportunity for a few companies to attend to network, exhibit, facilitate a roundtable and gain some visibility. If you are interested, reach out to me and I can forward you the information.
- Next month we’ll be releasing NEMRA’s Manufacturer of the Future report which is a precursor to the 2025 Rep of the Future Report (which will be released at the NEMRA Annual Conference. If you’re going to the Marketing Summit and want to meet pre / post to discuss, please reach out and we can schedule some time.
- Additionally, we’re starting a research project on the State of Manufacturer Sales & Marketing in the Construction & Industrial Trades. This research is not limited to the electrical industry. We’re asking about challenges and tools used. If you’d like to participate, contact me.
And yes, I will be attending … and hopefully I’ll see you there.
