As the year comes to an end, Sonepar, a leading distributor, and Yanow, a leading manufacturer representative in New England, both announced leadership promotions:
Yanow Promotes Eric DeMaio to Partner

Eric DeMaio Promoted to Partner at Yanow
According to a press release “Yanow, Inc. has announced the promotion of Eric DeMaio to Partner. In this new role, Eric will take on expanded leadership responsibilities, guiding the company’s strategic direction, positioning, and growth.
DeMaio has been with Yanow for 13 years, consistently demonstrating Yanow’s core values through a strong work ethic, steadfast integrity, determination to succeed, and exceptional leadership.
“He does whatever it takes, without hesitation,” said Randy Pinkofsky, President. “When Eric and I first met 13 years ago, our initial conversation centered on his long-term goals. He was clear about his aims. Keep in mind, I’m talking with a 24-year-old. We both thought his career path could lead him to someday become a principal. Eric has many admirable qualities, but I especially value his sense of personal responsibility (plus, his charisma is a bonus). Rarely have I met a young man who truly embodies an ‘old soul.’ I am confident he will approach this new chapter with the same qualities that made him a key asset to our firm.”
Eric will continue his current position as Sales Manager.
Please join us in congratulating Eric on his well-deserved promotion.”
Sonepar Announces Jansen, Mouritzen as Regional Presidents

Dana Mouritzen and Scott Jansen Promoted to Sonepar Regional Presidents
Sonepar announced changes within its executive regional management. According to its press release, “Sonepar announces Scott Jansen has been appointed President West Region, effective January 1. Jansen’s predecessor Dana Mouritzen will assume leadership of the East Region while continuing his concurrent role as Chief Operating Officer for Sonepar USA.
Jansen has served as president of QED, a Sonepar company, since 2021. In his three decades with the company, Jansen has played a pivotal role in driving growth and transformation. He was instrumental in the sale of QED to Sonepar in 2015 and the integration of Independent Electric Supply (IES)’s Arizona locations into QED in 2023. Jansen most recently spearheaded the expansion of QED’s logistics network with central distribution centers near Denver, Colorado, and Phoenix, Arizona.
Rob Taylor, President Sonepar Americas, commented:
“Scott brings a wealth of experience and a proven ability to navigate complexity. He executes strategic plans effectively and knows how to best support our operating companies so they can grow profitably. I’m confident the West Region will have a smooth transition under his leadership.”
Jansen will continue to lead QED while the organization conducts an internal and external search for his successor. Mouritzen, who led the West Region since 2021, will succeed former East Region President Alan Rosenfeld, who is retiring at the end of this year.
