ESA Adds Warehouse and Topaz
The new year brings the opportunity to communicate change and new initiatives. Once company doing this is Electrical Sales Associates, a leading manufacturer representative based in Nashville, TN.
Three Announcements from ESA
According to their press release, ESA had three major announcements:
“Electrical Sales Associates (ESA), the Southeast’s leading electrical manufacturers’ representative agency, today announces three game changing developments fueling rapid growth and enhanced customer service.
-
ESA has opened a cutting-edge 28,000 square foot warehouse at 740 Space Park S Drive, in Nashville. This expansion dramatically increases inventory, speeds order fulfillment, and strengthens stocking support for customers across Tennessee, Alabama, Georgia, and the Florida Panhandle.
- Simultaneously, ESA launches its all-new website–an engaging, information-rich hub that opens the door to explore ESA’s trusted manufacturer partners, meet their dedicated team of experts, discover the company story and values, and connect with the people driving innovation across the Southeast. The new site can be found at www.esa-reps.com.
- Rounding out the momentum, ESA assumes exclusive representation of Southwire’s Topaz lighting and electrical products line. This addition brings Topaz’s premium fittings, components, and LED solutions under ESA’s expert team. (Note: With Halco’s recent announcement that they have acquired Topaz’ permanent lighting business, and with ESA also being a Halco rep, this is probably a good longer-term fit.)
“These strategic advances position ESA to deliver even greater speed, innovation, and value to our partners,” said Chris Templeton, CEO of Electrical Sales Associates.
With over 40 years of excellence, ESA continues to drive profitable growth through labor saving electrical solutions in the dynamic and fast-growing Southeast market.”
Take Aways
For those not familiar with ESA, they cover Tennessee, Alabama, Georgia, and the Florida Panhandle and represent 20-25 manufacturers, depending upon the region. The company has eight outside salespeople, 12 inside salespeople plus management. The company is headquartered in Nashville with a “center of excellence” in Atlanta.
And this is a company that has embrace the NEMRA Rep of the Future model and the 5 Pillars. Take a look at their page that highlights their manufacturers.
It highlights
- Key vertical markets
- That the company is “built for the future” with a focus on “people and technology that create value and demand.”
- And they explicitly state how they utilize each element of the pillar to drive their business … and benefit a manufacturer.
Their positioning of “drive profitable growth through labor saving electrical solutions” should resonate with contractors and can be a compelling sales and marketing platform for them to promote their manufacturers to their distributors, enabling them to develop collaborative opportunities to pursue contractors … or, for them to approach contractors, perhaps in a system approach with their manufacturer offering, to bring the business back to their distributors. This “closed loop” approach can be a revenue generating / share taking strategy.
Congratulations to ESA on their new investments and initiatives
Attending NEMRA26? You should be familiar, and presenting information on how you use, or support (if you are a manufacturer) the 5 Pillars and consider how you / your trading partner are using the ROTF Framework Checklist (NEMRA shared ” a concise checklist to align expectations and a standardized discussion template organized under the Five Pillars from the Rep of the Future. Reps are not expected to cover every topic. If possible, Manufacturers could select their topics of interest in advance. Reps should be prepared to discuss any topic with any manufacturer.”
