Rebates and Chargebacks = Making More $

Everyone wants to make more money. After all, distribution is a “pennies, and maybe nickels” business.  And when someone is willing to share how they’ve succeeded in pushing the needle forward, it can pay to listen (even if sometimes there is a sales pitch involved.)

Summit Electric, based in Albuquerque, NM, is sharing its approach to managing supplier rebates and chargebacks via a webinar being conducted by MDM.  We thought it may be valuable for other electrical distributors to hear it (may pick up a couple of ideas) and for manufacturers to better understand what distributors do (and have to go through) to receive these discounts.

As a caveat … we have no idea what they will say or how they are doing it, just that this sounded like a “best practices” opportunity for many.
